DO TANK will host one of the Baltic Circle Lounge clubs at KokoTeatteri. The club presents:

Aino Venna (FIN) 

The main act of the night is Aino Venna, a Finnish singer-songwriter. In the autumn of 2011 a band formed around her: Kaisu Koponen (backing vocals, ukulele), Erick Michelsen (double bass), Joonatan Kotila (guitar, banjo) and Ville Pystynen (cajón). Their new album is released on Friday 26th of October!

Venna, who has been compared to Leonard Cohen, flirts with the chanson and old rock n’ roll with references to ditties and Italo hits. She draws inspiration for lyrics from times past, from books and from movies. Her main themes are love and rejection. Why? Because love is cruel and we are always alone.

Pia Lindy (FIN): Oh Lightness - DO TANK Variation

Is it possible to talk lightly or in bright light about life and serious matters and with that bring up multiple meanings and ways to read loss and gain. The performance is influenced by reflections on society and the current situation.

DJ's Worderlust (FIN)

This DJ duo, by visual artists Johanna Ketola and Reetta Sironen, combines record music with elements of visual and performing arts. Traditional folk and gypsy music from Middle East, Balkan, Eastern Europe and Finland mixed with contemporary club music is the base of their live show.
